Sustainability

Sustainability at Quinns

Since 1936 Quinns of Baltinglass have been selling to and trading with farmers. Many of our customers have had long-term relationships with Quinns for generations. Through the various wars, recessions, droughts, floods and crises, we have endeavoured to maintain and grow relationships and a business for the longer term. A sustainable, long-term business model is how we like to see it.

Sustainability has taken on a new meaning of late and with it comes the challenge of meeting environmental targets through the use of new products, farming techniques and sustainable solutions. Quinns is endeavouring to adapt our business process to improve the company’s carbon footprint and also help provide many suitably sustainable products and services to help the farmer achieve their goals on the farm.

We have outlined, in five pillars, how Quinns aims to drive “Farming for a better tomorrow”.

Farmers, and dare we say Quinns, are a resilient lot. We will not be found wanting in what will be a period of dramatic change in our industry for the good of our environment and future generations.
