Location – Baltinglass, Co Wicklow

Quinns Superstore is looking to recruit a Trade Counter Associate for our busy retail and hardware store. This store expands over 25,000 Sq. ft. serving hardware, building and Agri customers. This is a full-time permanent role with an immediate start.

Quinn’s of Baltinglass Ltd is serving the Irish Agricultural sector for over 80 years and currently in the process of recruiting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a progressive and leading business that have 6 agri stores across our network including Quinns Superstore.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of retail, be hard working and conscientious, and to be customer focused at all times.

The role is 39 hours per week, working 5 of 6 days Monday to Saturday.

The ideal candidate will have

• Good working knowledge of hardware, plumbing and general DIY
• Passion for customer service and attention to detail
• Sales focused
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a face paced retail environment or plumbing background

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, identify customer needs in order to increase sales, provide assistance and product knowledge to improve service levels
• Accept payments from customers and complete all sales documentation and authorization procedures
• Answer customer queries, either face to face or over the telephone, giving accurate product information and where possible solve problems raised.
• Undertake stock take duties as and when required within the store
• Dealing with customers in an efficient and friendly manner
• Identifying customer needs and offering best product selection
• Maintaining your designated area of the shop including stocking, cleaning and pricing
• Ordering stock in a timely manner and making sure no lines are out of stock
• Dealing with sales enquiries over the phone and via e-mail
• Provide quotations ensuring maximum level of margin and great value
• Knowledge of products and all services that Quinns provide so that you can assist customer promptly
